The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is a highly competitive exam that serves as a crucial stepping stone for admissions into postgraduate programs such as ME, M.Tech, and direct Ph.D. at premier institutions like the IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other top engineering institutes across India. Beyond academic pursuits, GATE also unlocks career opportunities in some of the most prestigious Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and renowned research organizations
Scores obtained in the GATE exam are recognized by major PSUs including ONGC, NTPC, GAIL, HPCL, PGCIL, BHEL, BSNL, NHPC, BARC, DRDO, among others, for recruitment into technical and managerial roles.
At Engineers Gurukul, we offer a comprehensive and result-oriented GATE coaching program that not only prepares students academically but also strategically equips them to crack the exam with high scores. Our expert faculty, detailed study material, mock tests, and personal mentoring ensure that aspirants are thoroughly prepared to excel in GATE and open doors to higher studies, PSU jobs, and research careers.
Whether your goal is to enter an IIT or secure a dream job in a PSU, Engineers Gurukul's GATE course is designed to make that ambition a reality.
The GATE 2026 exam comes with some important updates that give students more flexibility and better chances to succeed:
This year, Geomatics Engineering (GE) and Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering (NM) have been added. Now, students can choose from a total of 30 subjects.
Students can now appear for two different subject papers, as long as they are from the allowed combinations. This helps in exploring more opportunities and options.
Earlier, students needed to be in the 4th year of their degree (10+2+4 format) to apply. Now, even students in their 3rd year (10+2+3) can appear for the exam. This gives them an extra chance to improve and plan better for their careers.
All papers in GATE 2026 will have only objective-type questions. These will be of three types:
